Empowering Change Through Eco-Theatre: A Collaborative Journey

Under the visionary leadership of our director, Fumbani Innot Phiri Jr., YDC Theatre recently hosted a transformative two-day workshop in Hannover. Titled “Exploring Eco-Theatre in Response to Climate Change,” the workshop brought together participants from Germany, Turkey, Czech Republic, and our home country, Malawi. Together, we delved into innovative approaches to theatre that address pressing environmental challenges, fostering dialogue and action through creative expression.

Building on the workshop’s success, we are thrilled to announce our next ambitious project: “Imagine 2084.” This collaborative theatre production aims to envision a sustainable future through storytelling and artistic exploration. As we harness the power of theatre to advocate for climate action, we invite communities worldwide to join us on this inspiring journey towards a greener, more resilient planet.
